| Description | The JeKo-1 cell line is an established human mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) cell line derived from an adult patient. Mantle cell lymphoma is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma characterized by the overexpression of cyclin D1 due to the t(11;14)(q13;q32) chromosomal translocation. JeKo-1 cells exhibit this hallmark genetic aberration, making them a valuable model for studying the pathophysiology of MCL and testing therapeutic agents targeting the cyclin D1 pathway. These cells grow in suspension and possess a doubling time that facilitates robust experimental use in various high-throughput screening applications. JeKo-1 cells are particularly useful in research focused on the molecular mechanisms of MCL, including the exploration of B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling pathways, apoptosis resistance, and drug resistance mechanisms. | Conditions d'entreposage | For long-term preservation, place vials in vapor-phase liquid nitrogen at about −150 to −196 °C. Storage at −80 °C is acceptable only as a short interim step before transfer to liquid nitrogen. |
